Today, in the news, there is one huge banner headline; local author, Aurora Lynne Skye reaches 1000th page in Winter Coronation, the long awaited second book of the Coming of the Storm series. Details to follow.
“The change came slowly, as though it was taking its own time. But eventually the storm broke, and the pages began to flow like… like… well, like blood from a wound, I guess, and before I knew it, I had reached 890 pages.” Miss Skye said in a recent interview. But today, when reporter Selby Jones called to check up on her progress, imaging Selby’s surprise when Miss Skye announced that she had cleared 1000 pages last night. Exhausted, but triumphant, she added that she was going to rest for a day or two before embarking on the next block of pages in her quest to complete the book before Lady Joanna Lathomier’s next birthday, which most of her readers will already know is on the 29th of Marake, (that is… the 29th of March to her fans on Earth.)
Miss Skye announced the planned publication date three days ago in confidence, but didn’t demure when the news was leaked to the public this morning. But we wonder, will she be able to make it? That’s a pretty steep timeline she has set for herself, and more than 500 more pages to go!
